From the stage at the Grand America Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City, Derek Broes announced he would be leaving his vaulted position at Paramount Studios as Senior Vice President and be committing completely to Efusjon! The application he and his team have designed for Facebook will be launched in July, commemorating the One year Anniversary of the incorporation of Efusjon!
Last night we anxiously waited for Derek Broes to take the mic and share with us his vision of Efusjon. Perhaps we were especially anxious after a guy that was from Survivor had taken the stage earlier to talk about Efusjon, but instead did nothing but talk about how good looking, cool, and utterly fabulous he was. I don't know, maybe we were the only people who didn't go on a mad search through the throngs of people to get a picture with him after the event as he had suggested so we could be cool too and show it to all our friends on Facebook. Anyway, we couldn't wait for Derek to hit the stage! One of our team members was basically pacing in his chair he so eagerly waited for Derek Broes. I'm not sure exactly how to tell somebody how to pace in their chair, but let's just say that I witnessed it with my own eyes and it clearly meant that they couldn't wait for Derek to come out singing our National Anthem. Yes, Derek Broes finally did take the stage and he entered singing in support of all the troops and quite well I might add. Derek, will you please pass some of your talents my way? It isn't fair that a genius be able to sing!
For the next hour Derek turned a massive ballroom filled to capacity into complete believers. I couldn't help but think that Derek Broes will be the man in social networks like Bill Gates is to software, Warren Buffett is to investing, and Donald Trump is to.... doing whatever he does. Derek has taken a path in life that has led him to this point where all the skills he has acquired will change an industry. He talked about his humble beginnings living in a U-Haul and never graduating high school or from college. We were enlightened into his unique way of thinking as he related his experiences at Microsoft. Derek, if you didn't know, was in charge of Microsoft Strategy, its leading division. He rose to that position thinking outside the box and creating the most downloaded application in Internet history with 550 million downloads! He stood before Senators, defending himself with fire for his work with Kazaa. Then he ended up at Paramount Pictures and was enlisted to study social networks in order to generate profit for the studio through the medium. Through this journey Derek related, we learned that Derek is unlike the rest of us, he is visionary and brilliant! Derek thinks in ways that create progress and change! He has arrived at this point in time armed with a very unique set of skills, knowledge, and influence that will result in Efusjon changing an entire industry!
How committed to Efusjon is Derek Broes? So committed that he is quitting Paramount Studios! Who does that? Is there any reason this man has to risk his reputation and position? Yes, there is. But after listening to Derek, he isn't viewing it as a risk at all and neither did the crowd. Dereks vision for his applications include "game after game after game after game." Derek vision with Efusjon doesn't just include the United States and Canada as he said that he wasn't concerned about individual countries,but is concerned about the whole globe. Derek doesn't think small everybody! And lucky for him and us, he can walk the talk. One demonstration and insight into the brain of Derek is his idea for Efusjon Kids. Derek wants to teach kids to be entreprenuers and he wants to do it through games. He wants to use the Efusjon matrix and allow kids to share with their friends games, not for monetary compensation, but for points that can be used to get other games. I think my head spun when Derek started talking about Efusjon Kids. Brilliant! Of course, those kids have parents and those parents will be getting introduced to Efusjon by their kids and those kids are going to learn about networking and business!
After the event, about 15 of us were chatting and everybody had the same reaction to Derek Broes. "Derek is legit." That huge room of people walked out believing in Derek Broes and knowing that they can share his vision with others. It is this reason that Efusjon is the fastest growing company in this industries history at this stage. We are changing an industry that needed change. There will be many lives incredibly changed by Efusjon. What an amazing time we are at here at the beginning and what an amazing association we have with a man that will be a social network and network marketing icon. Derek Broes is the Man!
